Zelalem Yibrah

Zelalem Yibrah is a Lead Associate at Mehrteab Leul and Associates Law Office (MLA). He heads the Mining and Energy Practices. He has advised a host of multinational mining companies on matters involving Ethiopian Jurisdictions. Zelalem has advised clients on legal matters on the Mining sector ranging from incorporating a subsidiary company and assisting on the applications for exploration and mining licenses to due diligence on local and international mining companies and drafting joint venture agreements. He graduated from Bahir Dar University, summa cum laude and studied for his masters at the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Zelalem authored the Ethiopian Chapter of the Mining Law on the 2016 International Comparative Legal Guide.
